HOW TO GROUT A HOLE

Screen 5
Section through a grout hole in a rock foundation showing open cracks requiring grouting. Lines filled with grout.

The Bleeder Valve and the Isolating Valve are opened.

The Control Valve is opened gradually.

Grout enters the hole.

The Bleeder Valve is kept open to discharge any groundwater; or water left over from the water test which may remain in the hole.

The grout entering the hole from the Control Valve displaces this water out the bleeder, which is not closed until good grout emerges.
